“…they can’t do it without us. We the voices…”

We The Voices is a collective of individuals with nothing better to do than make your life better. Intended to shock and awe, as well as inform. The sole goal of this project is to provide edutainment. What is edutainment you ask? Good question. Edutainment is the knowledge you actually seek out. The knowledge that makes learning worth doing. It’s the kind of information that doesn’t turn books into kryptonite. Basically, it’s that ignorant shit you like, only with facts to back it up.

We The Voices was conceived of in June of 2004. Initially, it was intended to be a site dedicated to music reviews since a majority of the music review magazines and sites were, well…shit. So, why did we think that we would be any better than them? That’s easy. We’re smarter than them.

After realizing that we were too arrogant and self-righteous to only limit the world to our knowledge of music, the idea to expand to all things under the sun was proposed. The concept of We The Voices was then recreated into an e-zine of sorts intended to bring together individuals with something to say and give them an ability to get some shit off of their chests. Will it offend? Yes. Will it be overly sarcastic? Yes. Do we care? No.

Will it make you think? Maybe. Will you come back? Hopefully. Will you have a good time while you’re here though? Got damn right.

The bottom line is this. There comes a time in life where something needs to be said by somebody, be it about politics, drugs, Black people, White people, Gay people, or hell even entertainers. Nonsense is nonsense, and truth is truth. And more times than not, people are afraid to take a stance. Well dammit, you don’t have to anymore…

…because we’re the voices.

And we ain’t never scared.�
